Despicable Impostress

She’s the typical kind of girl you’d see. All drawn out and colorfully coated into the divulging atmosphere and circumstances of real life. She seems on the outside to be a competitive, talented and intelligent girl who can pull off anything bravely but inside, she’s someone else. She knows quite well that she is making others believe what she is not, but it doesn’t seem to bother her at all. Others around her buy her lies too, and get charmed by her little hop, skip and a jump.  She wants to appear dauntless and sophisticated.

Her appearance is noteworthy. She ties her hair into pigtails. She’s always dressed-up in feminine colors, like pink, purple or vermilion. She has a funny accent. She snorts loudly when she finds something humorous. She has a pale complexion and handful of freckles on her face. She lets loose of the curls in the front part of her face, hiding the clear vicinity of her face, and the deep blue eyes. The sparkles in her eyes always seem to be dancing a melodious tune, sparkling up the aura and letting it spread outwards. She has a mean, muscular body, which she obtained from the strenuous hours at the gym. She has the best of both worlds, she’s courageous and cocky on the outside, but an emotionally driven soft person in the inside.

She has a lot of tricks up her sleeves. She keeps her friends close, and her enemies closer. She’s always driven by ambitions. For her, no one is able to stand upon the pedestal except herself. She’s extremely clever at making it obvious to people that she sees them as insignificant. She is the queen of confrontation. She raises meaningless and vague questions to grab attention. She's going to put all the blames on you though she may be the one who is guilty.

Breaking hearts is her favorite activity. Once a guy fell head over heels for her. He believed her so much. She told him that he's the final guy of her life and she wanted to marry him. She told him that he captured her heart on her birthday. He sent her a dozen roses on Valentines. But as soon as she found another guy who looked better than him, she moved on to next. He was heart broken knowing how cheap she was. She refused to acknowledge the presence of him. She completely erased him, in a matter of seconds. And that poor guy felt a little consolation when he heard that she had broken up with the second guy as well. She's got a heart of rock. A rock made out of the hardest element on earth. She's vicious and will grab every opportunity to break someone completely.

Emotive Function of Language in Lawrence’s “Spring Funeral”

“The Spring Funeral” is an excerpt taken from” The White Peacock”, the first novel of D.H Lawrence. The novel was written in 1906 but finally published in 1911 after three revisions. It is narrated in the first person by a character named Cyril Beardsall. The spring funeral takes place in the chapter 2 “The shadow in spring”. This particular section, is a pastoral elegy, that raises the issues propounded in Emotive Theory by I.A. Richards, such as valorization of nature, synasthesia, human sensibility and organicity. In the description of spring funeral, the writer like a painter, depicts the early spring season with the vibration of the non-human world, the birds like larks, thrush, lapwings and the black-legged lamb. Wouldn’t it be nice if we could get the person whom we love most? What if love was easy to get? What if we didn’t have to love someone secretly? I wish things would work out with a girl I love. She’s the definition of perfection. She’s my ultimate dream, which I see every time. She’s the catwoman. She’s not a superhero but she’s a super girl in my life. But I’m too shy to tell her.
