Songs to get over someone (Break up songs)

Songs are a way to pour out our feelings and also to make us feel a lot better. We've all been there where the person who promises to never hurt you, is the one who hurts you so deeply. But the thing is, no matter how much we have been hurt, we can always forget the experience and do something worthwhile. Why keep on staying hung up on a person who isn't worth your time? Yeah, right now, they are probably having the "time of their life", feeling awesome and important that they broke you down. They must be so proud that they fooled someone. It's okay, it's not possible to forget them completely at such a short time but you can erase them slowly in many ways, one is by listening to songs that empower you to go through it. Later, believe me, you will not have a single memory of them, and they will never show up in your mind uninvited.

The songs I have listed are categorized into different types that they fit in. There are six types that I came up with: Forgetting Attempts, Wishful Revenge, Funny Afterthoughts, Intense Hatred, Positive Outlook and Shameful Crawlers.

Category 1: Forgetting Attempts (Hurt)

The first feeling that you get when your relationship ends is the hurt. The sadness is very piercing. Everywhere you go, you are reminded of the memories. It feels really worse to be dumped when you wanted to keep the relationship. So, you make attempts to forget the person, and you try to move on. You feel the pain and you're just confused about the next steps you will take.

The songs in this category express sorrow, remorse and a will to shield the heart.

Category 2: Wishful Revenge

When you get through a breakup, and no matter what you try to do, they ignore your plea to work things out, then you get the sense of revenge. You want to hurt that person so badly so that they know what a broken heart feels like. You have feelings of anger and revenged mixed, and you are most likely to show aggression if you are provoked.

This category features the songs that wish karma, and all the bad things to that person who ripped your heart.

Category 3: Intense Hatred

 

Sometimes the people who hurt you can also piss you off so much that you feel a deep hatred and anger towards them. You get to the point where you curse, swear and wish their death. It's the murderous rage, you feel totally disappointed, and all the love you had towards them turns into a moment of hatred. Music helps to release the emotions locked up within you. But these types of feelings shouldn't be kept in the long term, bitterness will affect yourself badly.

Breakup doesn't always have to be serious. Another way to let go of the hurt is by a funny way of letting the expression out. These kind of relationships is when you don't care if you're making any sense or being logical, you just want to poke fun out of the situation to calm yourself down.

It's time to rejoice the new freedom and cherish new memories without any deceitful people in your life. Category 6: Shameful Crawlers

You know the time when the people who felt so superior and walked out of your life? Sometimes, they return back when their "love supply" is cut off and have nothing to do. They like to think that you are someone who's always available and try to crawl back into your life. Yes, they do forget their dignity. (Note: They were always shameful and will always be.) At this point, you already have realized that even though it initially hurt, you don't want to fall back on it at any cost. You just sit back and watch them crawl to your feet, then you just bid them goodbye, like they deserve.
